campaign rules

We’ll be playing with Pathfinder rules but 3.5 classes, feats and spells may be taken with approval – they may have to be adjusted to make fit with the rest of the classes.

  • You may be evil in this campaign, but you must have a compelling reason for adventuring with the group and working with these people – namely, taking down Iuz and making sure The Old One never manifests on this plane of existence. That’s not to say I expect you to always get along. I don’t.
  • Start at level 1. I expect you’ll reach level 16.
  • Use a standard 20 point buy system. Start with 105 gold.
  • Only the core races (in the Player’s Handbook) are allowed.
  • Any group listed in the Wiki section (excepting the Cult of Iuz) is available for player characters to join, although they have per-requistes. If you are interested in joining a group, please let me know at any time before or during the campaign.
  • Instead of traits, each character is haunted by his time in the Bandit Kingdoms and must instead choose one of these feats:

Disciple of Darkness: You’ll have supplicated yourself to an arch devil. In return for this obedience, you gain a small measure of power. Once per day, while performing an evil act, the character may call upon his diabolical patron to add +1 luck bonus to any one die roll. Add Bluff to your class list and gain a +2 bonus to it.
(You cannot take this feat if good aligned. Tell me if you choose a specific arch devil or if I’ll be choosing for you).

Thrall to a Demon: You’ll have supplicated yourself to an demon. In return for this obedience, you gain a small measure of power. Once per day, while performing an evil act, the character may call upon his diabolical patron to add +1 luck bonus to any one die roll. Add Intimidate to your class list and gain a +2 bonus to it.
(You cannot take this feat if good aligned. Tell me if you choose a specific demon or if I’ll be choosing for you).

Disciple of Light: You’ll have supplicated yourself to an archon. In return for this obedience, you gain a small measure of power. Once per day, while performing an good act, the character may call upon his angelic patron to add +1 luck bonus to any one die roll. Add Sense Motive to your class list and gain a +2 bonus to it.
(You cannot take this feat if evil aligned. Tell me if you choose a specific archon or if I’ll be choosing for you).

Allegiance to a Faerie Queen: You’ll have supplicated yourself to a noble of fey origin. In return for this obedience, you gain a small measure of power. Once per day, while performing an good act, the character may call upon his faerie patron to add +1 luck bonus to any one die roll. Add Spellcraft to your class list and gain a +2 bonus to it.
(You cannot take this feat if evil aligned. Tell me if you choose a specific fey creature or if I’ll be choosing for you).

Crazed Insight: Due to unpredictable flashes of insight, you add all knowledge skills to your class list and can roll for any knowledge check, even if you’re untrained. You also gain a +2 morale bonus on initiative rolls. However, if you are surprised at the outset of an encounter, you are dazed for 1 round. Spells and effects to prevent you from being surprised (like Foresight) have no effect on you.
